The Society was established in 1899 under the name The New Edinburgh Investment Building
Society and then in 1946 the Society's name was changed to that of The Century Building Society. They are the smallest
building society in the and apart from the head office at 21 Albany Street, Edinburgh EH1 3QW they have no branches.
They offer mortgages and will consider applications on a capital and interest,
endowment orinterest only basis and as a small building society where possible they can try and tailor a mortgage to suit
your personal requirements.

show that they made a loss before tax of £131,018 as against a loss of £19,243 in 2009.
